Mobile Android Asset Inventory

The app provides four ways to perform an asset inventory, represented by Form 1, Form 2, Form 3, and Form 4.

Note: The role of the logged-in user must have access to the Asset Inventory feature in order to perform an asset inventory count in the app.

Selecting the Asset Form Type

The asset inventory choice is set in the User Preferences form.

Select Settings > Preferences from the menu.
The User Preferences form appears.
From the Asset section, select the Form Type: Form 1, Form 2, Form 3, or Form 4.
Form 1 is the default selection.

Inventory-Assets Form 1 (New and Existing Assets)

This form accommodates new and existing assets. Use Form 1, to perform asset inventory for an entire location. When you enter the asset inventory location, you will notice three aspects to this form:

Inventoried: the amount of assets inventoried in this location is displayed.
Remaining: the amount of assets remaining to be inventoried at this location is displayed during the inventory session.
New: the amount of new assets inventoried at this location is displayed during the inventory session.

You may perform an inventory on all of the assets for this location in one session when you use Form 1. As you scan the assets, they are categorized as either inventoried or new. When an inventoried asset at this location is scanned, it is removed from the list of remaining assets.

Inventory-Assets Form 2 (New and Existing Assets)

This form accommodates new and existing assets. With Form 2, perform the asset inventory by counting the asset-location one at a time.

Inventory-Assets Form 3 (New Assets)

This form accommodates new assets only. Form 3 is designed to be used when adding NEW assets to the asset inventory. With Form 3 you may use the Lock feature to expedite asset inventory scanning of new assets. You may also assign a serial number, assignee, and condition to the new asset.

Inventory-Assets Form 4 (Existing Inventoried Assets)

This form accommodates existing inventoried assets only. Form 4 is designed to be used with EXISTING INVENTORIED assets. The asset number ONLY is scanned at this form. When the asset number is scanned, the asset is automatically placed in its inventoried site-location.
